Institute for Excellence in Writing

K-8 Grades

In order to succeed in every area of life, children must hone the skills needed to communicate confidently and effectively. Through the process of learning to write well, students learn how to think clearly and to express themselves eloquently and persuasively. My goal is to equip you to assist your child in this process. Sessions are held in person or online.

The Lost Tools of Writing

7-12 Grades

The Lost Tools of Writing is an ideal composition curriculum for students in seventh through twelfth grade who already have a relatively solid understanding of grammar and sentence structure and who have at least a rudimentary amount of writing experience – and, most importantly, who are ready to think for themselves. I was a Classical Conversations Challenge Director, successfully teaching The Lost Tools of Writing to many high school students. Sessions are held in person or online.
